A trip to London – English Version

On Saturday evening our trip started. At fi rst we had a long, long, long ride by bus and then we took the ferry over to England. Around midday on Sunday we arrived at our hostel. Before and after the check-in we had much free time to spend and explore London already, for example the Hyde Park next door!
On Monday we explored the grounds of the Tower of London and the most special thing there, are defi nitely the Crown Jewels. Very glittering! After that we had a split up. One group went up to Tower Bridge and the others had a high view point at Sky Garden. After that I had already planned my free time. From Buckingham Palace to Trafalgar Square and then to Big Ben. Many Londonish things in one day to explore.
The next day we had free time up until afternoon. With a friend I explored an art museum and St. Paul’s Cathedral. Stunning it is! Not far away from the cathedral was Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre where we had a workshop about Romeo and Juliet and a tour around the main theatre. After that some of us went to a Musical. Wicked! It was a feast for both ears and eyes!
On Wednesday we drove again by bus to Oxford where we had a tour through the city and visited Trinity College. At the end of the tour we climbed a church tower to get a better view of the city. After that we were free to go. I explored Oxford‘s Harry Potter Places, like New College and Christ Church College. Oxford ist truly magical!
On our last day, Thursday, we had two walking tours. I participated in the Harry Potter walk. (We took the Tube around 5 times so it wasn’t that much of walking) We saw many fi lming locations like, the Millennium Bridge, King’s Cross and Plattform 9¾ and the Leaky Cauldron pub. Then the Tower Bridge group were now visiting the Sky Garden to witness the amazing view as well. Breathtaking! After that we took a ferry through London to Greenwich where our bus was waiting and then we were on our way back home.
Even though it was exhausting with how much we had to walk I would always recommend to visit London at least once. The memories which were made are something that you won’t have again. London ist something for everyone!
